Naughty Dog has revealed the patch notes for update 1.1.2 of the PC version of The Last of Us Part 1. Sony released a full remake of The Last of Us on PS5 in 2022, and the game was later ported to PC earlier in 2023.
Unfortunately, gamers experienced a wide variety of problems in the PC release of The Last of Us Part 1, including performance issues and troubles related to optimization. As a result, the PC port The Last of Us Part 1 was review bombed, as players expressed their disappointment by giving it low scores. The critic score of the PC version also suffered, as The Last of Us Part 1 has a rating of just 59 on Metacritic, representing a massive difference from the score of 88 for the PS5 release. Naughty Dog has been releasing consistent updates since its launch, with update 1.1.2 making further changes to the game.
Update 1.1.2 for the PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 is now live, and it comes with fixes for the visuals while also addressing the overall user experience. As revealed by the patch notes, update 1.1.2 improves the blending of terrain and certain environmental effects like debris, mud, and more in The Last of Us Part 1. It corrects several translations errors present in the game, in addition to fixing an issue that caused adaptive trigger resistance of the DualSense controller to stop functioning if users held the triangle button while aiming.

The next few fixes are specific to individual levels, as update 1.1.2 solves an issue that caused the spotlight speed to increase when playing The Outskirts chapter in The Last of Us Part 1 at high frame rates. A problem related to camera shake has now been fixed in the Bus Depot level, while an issue that could block player progression during the Left Behind DLC has also been resolved.
Update 1.1.2 for PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 seems fairly small, especially when compared to previous patches that came with a number of changes. As an example, update 1.1.1 for The Last of Us Part 1 offered a ton of improvements, while a previous patch added support for the Steam Deck. Regardless, it looks like the latest update for the PC port of The Last of Us Part 1 comes with some useful changes that are aimed at improving the user experience.
