Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to two new games joining the service day one in October, Jusant and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. The former had been revealed at Xbox’s game showcase during Summer Game Fest in June and is a climbing-based adventure game being developed by Don’t Nod Entertainment, the studio responsible for creating the acclaimed Life is Strange franchise.
Part of the incredibly expansive Warhammer franchise, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide had already been released on PC in November 2022 to decent reception, while its Xbox debut had seen a hefty delay into 2023. Darktide is a class-based first-person shooter that sees up to four players team up to take on hoardes of gnarly enemies. It follows a similar formula to that of its fantasy counterpart, the Warhammer: Vermintide duology, and had become one of the most anticipated third-party titles set to launch on Game Pass before it got delayed.
Xbox Game Pass’ Twitter account made a post announcing the release date for Don’t Nod’s Jusant. The stylish climbing sim game from the creators of Life is Strange is due to release right into Game Pass on October 31, just seven days before Don’t Nod’s very own Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden releases in November. The post was also accompanied by a new two-minute trailer which showcased more climbing gameplay, as well as the game’s sleek UI. Interestingly, Jusant will feature a sort of stamina bar while climbing, similar to the one made popular by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Players will seemingly have to manage their stamina as they use a variety of equipment to climb, swing, and jump their way up the gorgeous ruin-covered mountain.
